Description

The Warehouse Person is responsible for organizing and controlling of goods in the local and remote warehouses, including laydown areas for the Jansen Project.  This position will be responsible for the management, receiving and issuing of materials. The Warehouse Person is responsible for maintaining accurate records and for assisting personnel with finding the required material from the warehouse.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

Shipping/Receiving of Inventory
Responsible for the escorting of transport vehicles.
Responsible for the unloading, shipment verification and storage of material.
Responsible for the proper tagging/marking of received inventory.
Responsible for the reporting of inventory quantities.
Responsible for the preparation and loading of inventory freight.

Inventory Control
Responsible for following and recommending effective procedures of inventory management.
Communicating with personnel to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
Perform inventory counts as required.
May be required to conduct off-site inventory counts.
Responsible for ensuring materials are signed out of the warehouse.
Responsible for ensuring the warehouse housekeeping is well maintained.
Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

3-5 years hands on materials management and logistics experience.  Equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.
Valid Drivers License
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Experience operating a forklift
Mechanical Aptitude
Strong team skills
Detail oriented
Strong organizational skills
