Description

Transwest Air is currently looking for Flight Followers to join its growing team in La Ronge, Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities:

1. Flight following and monitoring of all flights within the sector of operation, including route analysis and calculation of fuel requirements
2. Book, prepare and set up scheduled flights and charters
3. Schedule hotel bookings including check-in and checkout
4. Accurate log sheet data entry
5. Charter billing and invoicing
6. Maintain professional and effective radio communications with aircraft and between departments
7. Review, revise and communicate changes to the operational flight plan to the Pilot in Command as required.
8. Provide flight crew briefings.
9. Coordinate aircraft MEL and maintenance limitations with Maintenance Control.
10. Communicate information pertaining to irregular operations to the necessary contact as required.
11. Use knowledge and interpretation of changing weather and operating conditions to provide recommendations for flight delays or cancellations. Also analyze operational conditions and identify opportunities that may benefit constrain or impede operational capabilities.
12. Assist in additional duties as outlined in the Company Operations Manual and dispatch manual.
13. Foster an environment of teamwork and good relations with all departments by enhancing and maintaining effective communication.
14. All personnel are encouraged to be on the alert for hazards on the job. All personnel are responsible for the prompt and diligent reporting of all observed or suspected hazards.

Skill Requirements:
- Valid Air Operator Radio License considered an asset.
- Previous flight dispatch experience not required but is considered an asset.
- Previous experience within a Flight Operations Department considered an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Strong organizational and decision making skills
- Ability to multi task and to manage time effectively
