Description

Estevan SARCAN is seeking applications for a SARCAN Cashier.

Under the direcdtion of the Depot Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor, the Cashier provides customer service, counts containers, pays out refunds.

Duties will include:
- Provide customers with helpful and efficient service by counting containers, paying out refunds, and responding to inquiries when necessary.
- Prepare containers for shipment, load trailers, operate mechanized SARCAN equipment and prepares the loading documentation
- Complete all the functions necessary to open an/or close the SARCAN depot. Will be involved in the direction and supervision of staff to maintain a safe & efficient workplace.
- May be responsible for retrieving cash at the bank, completing night deposits, completing daily cash reconciliation issuing cheques.  The incumbent will have safe combinations, depot security codes and may have bank signing authority
- Complete all daily and monthly cash and container accountings when necessary.  Dealing with non-routine customer inquiries and complaints.

Skills:
- Ability to operate mechanical equipment
- Ability to work with the people with disabilities
- Ability to work well with the public and provide excellent customer service
- Good math, writing and reading skills, and accuracy in dealing with money
- Physical stamina (position requires standing for long period of time)
- Basic computer skills are necessary
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License

The final candidates are required to provide satisfactory police record checks.

Compenstaion:  SARCAN Pay Grid 2 (range $13.21 - $14.44 per hour)  Health Benefits are covered by SARCAN after probation.
