Biggar ESSO is located in Biggar, Saskatchewan. Currently we are looking for a cashier to join our ESSO gas station and convenience store team. All applicants, including aboriginals and new immigrants, are welcome. The hourly wage for this position shall be $ 11.50.  


Duties and responsibilities:
    Greet customers as they enter the business premises and also as they step out.
    Keep a lookout of cars in the gas pump area.
    Ensure that the area around the gas pumps and the convenience store are cleaned and maintained properly.
    Receive fuel trucks and supervise refilling of fuel pumps.
    Ascertain the amount of cash in cash register at the start of shift.
    Receive payments for gas or product sold by cash, cheque, voucher, credit card, or automatic debit.
    Issue receipts to customers for gas or products bought, giving back correct change to customers.
    Assist customers in providing available information on products and their benefits.
    Keep records of transaction totals.
    Calculate payments in total received at the end of shift, comparing with total gas and products sales during the shift.
    Order and receive stock and ensure that all items are displayed on the shelves in a proper manner.
    Dust shelves and display items on a regular basis.
    Label items with proper prices and make sure that any modifications in prices are readily handled.
    


Requirements:
    No formal education required.
    Physical health and emotional maturity. This position requires bending/standing/walking the entire workday, and the ability to lift something heavy occasionally.
    Must be a positive team player.
    Must be good with figures.
    Applicants who can work in this position for at least one year are preferred.
