Legal Aid Saskatchewan has an opportunity available in its Melfort Area Office for an individual seeking a permanent position as Legal Director.

The successful candidate, under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, will manage the Area Office, supervise all office personnel and administrative activities, as well as provide legal services to eligible clients.

The ideal candidate will have some management or supervisory experience and a minimum of five years of experience in litigation or the general practice of law, preferably in criminal and family law and be eligible for membership in the Law Society of Saskatchewan.  As part of the management team, the Legal Director will be involved in setting and carrying out policy and will participate in strategic and operational endeavours for the Legal Aid Commission as a whole and its operational units.

The salary range for the position is $121,069 to $148,607 per annum, based on experience. The incumbents are entitled to 3 weeks annual vacation, 15 EDOs and 13 Statutory Holidays per full fiscal year.
