Louis Dreyfus Company is a leading merchandiser and trader in the international commodities market. Our canola crushing plant in Yorkton, SK has an opening for a Production Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5 years experience.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for monitoring operations and supervising production staff in their assigned areas.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to ensure safe and reliable plant operations all times in our Crush Plant. The Production Supervisor will be accountable for the production, safety and quality performance of the team. Help plan the daily activities of production staff and issue work assignments accordingly. Maintain proper coverage by managing production staffing schedules. Coordinates and leads production startups, shutdowns and changeovers. Complete regular checks of staff and equipment throughout the shift to ensure that standard operating procedures are followed and Company quality standards are met. Responds to production issues or alarms and leads investigations as necessary. Assures that production employees work safely and follow established safety procedures. Assures that established environmental procedures are followed and recordkeeping requirements are met. The Facility Manager and or Plant Superintendents may assign other duties and responsibilities based on individual ability and goals.
