Description

Northern Blizzard Resources Inc. is a publicly traded Canadian company based in Calgary, Alberta. Northern Blizzard was founded in late 2009 and is engaged in the exploration for and the acquisition, development and production of petroleum and natural gas reserves in western Canada.

We are currently seeking an Operators for our Plover Lake, SK field operation.  These positions will report directly to the Senior Operator and will have the overall responsibility for assisting in maximizing production of wells by minimizing costs and reducing downtime.  Key responsibilities will include:

- Providing day to day control of producing wells and associated production equipment
- Ensuring safe, efficient and environmentally compliant operation of the wells in your assigned area
- Collecting, reviewing and analyzing daily process and equipment data looking for trends, abnormalities, completeness and accuracy

Besides being an independent self starter and a team player, the ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production operations, preferably in heavy oil,
- Basic mechanical inclination,
- Valid drivers license,
- Flexibility and  independence; ability to work a rotating schedule (days and nights),
- Must be located within 45 minutes of field work location,
- Completion of Heavy Oil Operations Technician certificate or 4th Class Power Engineering certificate is considered an asset.
