We are currently looking for an innovative and enthusiastic individual with CNC Laser and Plasma expertise to join our clients Production Engineering Team located in Rural Saskatchewan. The CNC Laser & Plasma Systems Specialist will be responsible for guiding all technical operations of CNC Lasers and Plasma plate cutting equipment, including firmware and software updates and detailed cut parameter guidelines.
Qualifications:
- 5 10+ years of experience in laser and plasma cutting software and equipment operations
- Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Ability to operate all laser and plasma cutting equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong computer skills, including an in-depth understanding of SigmaNEST version 9.1 (2D)
- Strong knowledge of Mazak and Tanaka plate lasers
- 3D CAD experience (SOLIDWORKS preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Understanding of lean methodology and continuous improvements methods
- Well-developed interpersonal and leadership skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills
- High degree of analytical thought and creativity
