Job Description: The Clinical Educator integrates skills and knowledge from nursing theory and principles of adult learning in the provision of direct client care, clinical coordination, clinical problem solving, education and research.  The incumbent will provide leadership that is visible, pro-active, and  promotes the delivery of client care through the application of practice standards.  In consultation with the Supervisor, the individual is responsible for assessing learning needs of staff, planning, implementing and evaluating designated educational activities/programs.  The Clinical Educator will use a consultative approach and research findings to provide support to health care workers as appropriate.  
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Certificate
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Master Degree in Health Services Field preferred
Experience
Requires a minimum of three to five years' experience in Home Care nursing.
Previous experience in health education is desirable.
Understands the nursing process and principles of adult learning.
Experience in developing programs/resources for staff in the areas of planning, implementation, quality monitoring and evaluation
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to work independently

Ability to accept and implement change
Ability to develop and deliver formal education programs
Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships and communication with other health care professionals
Ability to apply research to nursing practice
