Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
The All Nations' Healing Hospital is seeking a RN (NP) to provide primary health services within the newly constructed Rising Bear Healing Center located at the ANHH. Reporting to the Director of Client Services, this position will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide culturally responsive primary health care & chronic disease management with a focus on enhancing chronic kidney care services to individuals, families & communities in the ANHH catchment area. The nurse practitioner will be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, & evaluation of care for clients in the community both independently & collaboratively with physicians, allied health care providers, cultural services & community health programs.

Qualifications:
-Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
-Masters degree in Nursing is preferred
-Certification in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or equivalent program
-Demonstrated leadership skills
-Experience in program development an asset
-Strong knowledge & understanding of primary health care & chronic disease prevention & management, preferably in a community setting
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in an interprofessional setting, including strong team work & communication skills

Experience:
-Nurse Practitioner experience working in the area of chronic disease
-Minimum of (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse in primary care, public health or acute care
-Previous experience working within a community setting with Indigenous clients

Hours of Work: 08:30-16:30 (weekdays, some flexible hrs required)
