The Family Support program is a partnership between AIDS Saskatoon and the Ministry of Social Services. Part time worker needed to work the following shifts; Mondays 4pm-12am and alternating weekends 4pm-12am. Opportunity for extra shifts during holiday seasons may be available.
Responsibilities
Comfort working with at risk families in the inner core;
Knowledge of challenges in the inner city community;
Knowledge of addiction and its impact on parenting;
Must understand and operate using Harm Reduction Model;
Knowledge of community services and agencies in Saskatoon;
Ability to assess volatile situations and provide personal safety;
Respond quickly to emergent needs as identified by Mobile Crisis, the Ministry of Social Services, and the family themselves;
Ability to think creatively as well as critically to provide best outcome;
Ability to participate as a member of a team on an inter-agency team;
Good oral and written communication skills;
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word;
Maintain documentation and make sure appointments are followed through on;
Any other duties as required.
