Description

IT Support Assistant is expected to provide daily support needs across multiple physical sites of Wil-Tech Industries Ltd. and report daily to ICT Supervisor. Duties include troubleshooting network hardware issues, assistance with hardware installs, troubleshooting hardware including: desktops, printers, networking hardware and phones.  This position will require someone capable of contributing to the improvements to our IT process and its documentation.  This position requires excellent time management skills, being highly motivated and effective with minimal supervision.
Essential Functions
  1. Possesses a comprehensive knowledge and high degree of skill and ability to successfully administrate the Microsoft server 2008r2 environment, including:
    a.Active Directory Administration
    b.DNS Administration
    c.Exchange Server Administration
    d.File Server Administration
    e.Manage and report server backups
    f.Security and Group Policy management
  2.    Possesses a comprehensive knowledge and high degree of skill in:
    a.Microsoft Server 2008r2 Administration
    b.Microsoft Exchange (O365) Administration
    c.Microsoft Dynamics NAV Administration
    d.Microsoft Windows 7, 8 & 10 Troubleshooting
    e.Desktop Publishing (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat)
    f.Implementing and maintaining network wide anti-virus protection.

  3. Expected to learn company terminology and company practices.  
  4. Exercise independent judgment in interpreting instructions.
  5. Ability to multi-task and investigate technical issues in sequence and in a detailed fashion and assist clients via email and telephone
  6. Must take a proactive approach to resolving common requests at the first point of contact.
