Position Reports to:  Project Director, Jansen
The Chief Engineer is accountable for the coordination and delivery of all engineering services required for the project. The incumbent will ensure that engineering, construction drawings, specifications and general engineering coordination are available when required in order to complete all aspects of the project on time and within budget. This is a term 18 month position located in Jansen, SK, on the Jansen site.

1.    Provide leadership and support to produce engineering deliverables for the project's engineering packages.
2.    Direct management of the site located engineering team.
3.    Support package readiness working including all safety and risk work and face planning activities.
4.    Provide prominent organizational skills to support the construction team for surface and underground work.
5.    Work closely with the Project Director, Package Manager and Engineering team to ensure all requirements to execute the work is available and supported in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
1.    Bachelor's Degree in mining, civil or structural engineering
2.    P.Eng Designation
3.    Minimum 10 years' mining project experience is a requirement
4.    Excellent written and oral communication skills
5.    Experience with client relationship management is an asset
6.    Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, MS Project or P6
