Description

The Position:  The Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission is looking for an energetic, confident and experienced person to assume the role of Manager of Systemic Advocacy in our Saskatoon office. This is a permanent full time position.

The Person:  As the successful candidate, you will manage the work of the Systemic Advocacy Unit. You will have experience working in a team environment as the functional team leader, with responsibilities of supervision, performance management, and discipline. Your strategic thinking and clear communication style will set you apart. You will demonstrate a history of leadership in community engagement, and community education initiatives. You will have proven research capabilities, and experience in policy design and implementation.   You will have knowledge of systemic approaches to problem-solving, and experience in collaboration/facilitation, and project management.
You will have an excellent understanding of The Saskatchewan Human Rights Code and Regulations, in addition to the current case law and developments in the area of human rights. You will have a comfortable working knowledge with office management software and web based education.
Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position will be attained by the completion of a related undergraduate or graduate degree from a recognized University, with considerable work experience related to human rights, web-based education, and equity issues.  Candidates may be asked to complete a written exam as part of the interview process. An equivalent level of skill and experience may be considered.
