Description

The Maintenance Support Engineer will provide oversight on natural gas mobile compressor fleet and supporting the enforcement of best practices in plant maintenance. This position will be based in our client's office in Regina.
The ideal candidate will bring solid mechanical systems knowledge, including best maintenance practices on natural gas compression and process equipment, as well as strong communications ability, both written and verbal. Familiarity with parts specifications, ordering practices, inventory management is also required.
The Maintenance Support Engineer will work with the team to develop scope of work for large maintenance projects, and to oversee that maintenance recommendations and best practices are being applied consistently, throughout the company.
Qualifications:
1. Hold a degree in Engineering from an Accredited Canadian Engineering program; or
Be currently registered as a Professional Engineer or Engineer-In-Training
2. Must submit evidence of English language competency if English is an additional language.
3. Hold a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan drivers license or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A degree in the following areas: Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial System Engineering or Chemical Engineering, with minimum one (1) to five (5) years related work experience.
- Experience in natural gas transmission and storage area
- Experience in rotating equipment maintenance
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems, industrial equipment maintenance, and inventory management systems
- Solid mechanical background, including an understanding of components purpose in larger mechanical systems, experience managing engineering projects, and coordinating or delegating work assignments
- Mechanical Systems experience (maintenance, parts specification, parts procurement)
- Database and reporting experiences
