Job Description: The Employee Health Nurse is accountable for the application of nursing principles to protect, promote and maintain the health and safety of employees of Kelsey Trail Health Region (KTHR). The Employee Health Nurse works to achieve and maintain the highest degree of physical, mental and social well being by promoting healthy patterns of behavior through education and support.  This includes assisting in the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment and the prevention of occupational illness and injury.  The Employee Health Nurse will use nursing assessment, including knowledge and skills in nursing care, counseling, educational activities, environmental health, rehabilitation, human relations and administrative skills.

The Employee Health Nurse role includes: health education, counseling, marketing, advocacy, consultation, policy formation, research and evaluation, coordination, liaison and referral.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)

Certification in Immunization Administration
