Willowgrove Wonderland (licensed dayhome) is looking for a professional, energetic, positive and passionate casual daycare assistant. Hours of operation are 730-530, Monday-Friday, and the position(s) would be utilized on an as needed basis.
Responsibilities include:
-engaging with children between the ages of ten months and eight years
-helping in leading and organizing preschool curriculum
-participating in artistic endeavours
-providing adequate supervision
-practicing high standard of health and safety
-maintaining client confidentiality
-aiding in food preparation
-demonstrating excellent communication
Qualifications necessary:
-current CPR and First Aid
-current and clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector search
-Early Childhood Education preferred, but not required

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- First Aid Certificate
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
Early Childhood Education Skills
- Provide supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities
Additional Skills
- Assist in housekeeping duties
Early Childhood Educator Assistant Skills
- Prepare craft materials and assist children to use them
- Prepare and serve snacks
- Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children
- Arrange transition periods such as lunch and rest for children
Ability to Supervise
- 5-10 people
Security and Safety
- Criminal record check (abstract)
