Description

On behalf of our client, a respected courier outfit in Saskatoon, we are seeking an Administrative/Logistics Coordinator to join their team.

Hours are Monday  Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.

Experience: 3-5 years administrative & coordinator experience is required; knowledge of the courier and/or transportation industry is considered a definite asset
Education: candidate has a tech diploma in administration
Computer skills: must be proficient on Microsoft Word & Excel

Key tasks include, but are not limited to:
    Scheduling delivery appointments
    Planning driver delivery schedules
    Interacting with customers, drivers and logistics partners to ensure deliveries are completed as scheduled and proper delivery paperwork is received
    Following up with customers, drivers and logistics partners with unaccounted for packages, delayed shipments etc.

Key skills & qualities:
    Familiarity with Saskatoon and surrounding area
    Ability to multi-task
    Strong problem solving ability; able to think on the spot, be resourceful, and  flexible
    Highly organized
    Strong customer service skills; a people person
    Willing to learn to operate a forklift

There are many areas of expertise, knowledge and experience required to be fully performing the Administrative/Logistics Coordinator role. The starting job band is $45,000 per annum and goes to $55,000 per annum. It is assumed that an entry level candidate will perform at an average of 3 out of 5 and that a fully functioning candidate will perform at an average of 4.6 out of 5.0.
