Qualifications:
- Must be a good role model and demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle
- Must have experience working with teenage youth.
- Must be flexible and willing to learn
- Must have First Aid and CPR-C certificate
- Have knowledge with Microsoft word and Excel spreadsheet
- Applicant must maintain strict confidentiality and maintain building security
- All applicants must have a valid Saskatchewan driver's license; provide a current Criminal record check and a vulnerable sector check.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with Youth, Staff and Management.
- Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Working with youth ensuring a balance between the needs and safety of the youth;
- Focusing on the nine domains as outlined in the youth services manual;
- Maintain a safe home environment;
- Prep and cook for 6 youth;
- Maintain an accurate daily log on day to day business;
- Plan fun and educational activities for teenage youth;
- Support and guide the youth, teaching them responsibility as they transition through the teen years;
- Must be a good role model to the youth;
- Maintain building security;
- Ensure nightly cleaning duties are complete;
- Ensure major housecleaning duties are complete as well as normal everyday cleaning/chores;
- Attend staff meetings;
- Provide feedback to Supervisor/Manager regarding clients;
- Provide feedback to the Supervisor/Manager on major issues and incident reports;
- Some administrative duties;
- Attend to crises as they arise during non-office hours. Contact the Supervisor/Manager in the event of a major crisis;
- Prioritize work, attending to the most urgent needs of the youth first;
- Work unsupervised;
- Maintain confidentiality;
- Any other duties as requested.
