Description

With our goal to become the elite high performance university athletics program in Canada, the University of Saskatchewan is seeking a Chief Athletics Officer (CAO) who will provide the vision, leadership, and strategy that will support this successful evolution.
The CAO will contribute to, build and implement a long-term strategic plan to advance the vision, mission, strategies and objectives of the Huskie Athletics program.  You will be a key face of the department and as the CAO you will build relationships with various stakeholders including faculty, students and the community.  You will also develop and implement a marketing strategy that will enhance university identity and pride through programs and events while elevating the fan experience. In addition, you will build and maintain an effective stewardship program for Huskie Athletics donors and sponsors.
This role requires a minimum of 10 years of directly related senior management experience within the sport/business sector.  You will possess a unique blend of sales, marketing, and media knowledge along with analytical thinking, creativity, superior relationship building skills and a genuine passion and commitment to advance student-athlete development.
This position offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes: pension plan, life insurance sick leave, travel insurance, death benefit, dental plan, extended health and vision care plan, employee assistance program and flexible health and wellness spending program. The salary band for this position is $112,500 to $188,500.
