The Melfort Agricultural Society is a non-profit charity that works to promote and bring agricultural activities and events to our community. Such events are the 4-H Beef and Horse show that encompasses eight districts as well as the Annual Exhibition, community flea markets, etc..
To be eligible students must be registered as full-time student in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year, be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:
-Greet the public in a professional and courteous manner;
-Assist with event planning and implementation;
-Answer phones;
-Maintain office filing and storage systems;
-Co-ordinate and maintain records;
-Type documents, reports and correspondence;
-Multi-task, prioritize, and display effective time management;
-Perform work related errands as requested by the Manager.
Qualifications:
-Have excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
-Excellent communication and organization skills.
-Be a self-starter and have a willingness to learn.
Administrative Skills:
-Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
-Well versed in office procedures.
