Description

Farm labourer with ability to perform all operational tasks on a medium sized grain farm.

General tasks to be performed:
-all operational tasks including agricultural spraying operations
-maintenance & repair of farm machinery
-grain handling & hauling

QUALIFICATIONS:
-positive attitude, good work ethic
-reliable, responsible and conscientious with sufficient attention to detail
-open minded approach to tasks
-self-motivated, able to work with little supervision and willing to work with other employees
-energetic, physically fit, and willing to tackle physically demanding tasks in all kinds of weather
-previous experience on modern, computerized farm machinery with responsible caring attitude working with this equipment (may consider someone with strong mechanical ability in place of experience)
-class 1A license (may consider someone with ability to get this license)
-previous farm experience (may consider someone without farm experience depending on other qualifications)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-welding, acetylene torch experience
-non smoking
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
-ability to work long hours when required (almost always no more than 6 day weeks)
-permanent seasonal term (April to Nov) with potential for flexible full time position, or flexible terms
-can accommodate flexible hours around busy seasons if desired
