Description

Duties include but are not limited to:
- Organizing the UCC Saskatchewans Ukrainian dance summer program for dancers and instructors as well as other professional development and capacity building opportunities;
- Updating and implementing UCC Saskatchewans Dance Outreach Strategy;
- Preparing Ukrainian dance-related information for UCC Saskatchewan and other relevant media;
- Organizing relevant sessions for UCC Saskatchewans annual spring conference;
- Managing the dance section of UCC Saskatchewans web site, including: a Ukrainian dance community profile; database of qualified dance instructors and dance festival adjudicators; a compilation of relevant funding opportunities; information about Saskatchewans Ukrainian dance festivals; employment resources; information on costuming and music and Ukrainian dance camps; and
- Facilitating ongoing networking and development opportunities for the provinces dance community
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES(required for satisfactory job performance):
Knowledge:
- cultural not-profit and volunteer sector; and
- the Ukrainian dance and/or cultural community of Saskatchewan.
Skills:
- excellent communication, interpersonal, networking and team-building skills
- effective organizational, time-management and reporting skills
- workshop facilitation
- grant-writing experience
- analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- computer skills including (Windows OS, MS Office, Publisher an asset)
- valid Saskatchewan class 5 drivers licence
- proficiency in the English language; Ukrainian language skills are an asset but not required
- CPR and First Aid Certificate are an asset but not required
