MLTC is seeking a highly motivated, energetic individual to fill this full-time position. The Systems Administrator assists and supports the local IT needs of MLTC Health, Child & Family Services, Education and schools; the Network needs of MLFN Health and CFS departments including system /application support, network infrastructure and information security management (LAN and WAN); Network/Application server configuration/management; E-health; Aboriginal Information System (AIS) network infrastructure/integration and security; Plans, implements, and reviews the goals, objectives and strategies for all assigned projects.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems and applications. - Monitoring and maintaining MLTC computer systems and networks. - Assisting clients/staff through a series of actions via various communication methods to help set up systems to resolve problens. - Troubleshoot, diagnose and solve hardware/software bottlenecks. - Replacing and maintaining IT parts in various systems within the organization. - - Repond within agreed time limits on call outs and work continuously until completion of tasks. - Train end users; ability to work and implement programs individually and with a team. - Possess a thorough understanding of computer networks, hardware, various operating sustems and software applications.
Educational Qualifications: IT Diploma/University degree with a Computer Science/IT major.
-Certification in any 2 of the following: A+/Network+/MCP/MCSA/CCNA/MCSE.
- Learning new technologies is a must in this role.
