Description

St. Petro Mohyla Institute is looking for a dedicated, responsible and enthusiastic counsellor. Camp Counsellors are expected to maintain open lines of communication and work in a cooperative manner with other Camp Counsellors and the Head Counsellor in fulfilling roles and duties. Your job is to supervise the campers, join in with whatever they are doing and make each day more fun than the one before!

Responsibilities:
Ability to communicate and work with groups and provide necessary instruction to campers and staff
Model good-sportsmanship through enthusiastic, non-competitive participation and support
Help camp staff maintain discipline during each activity
Create a positive rapport with all campers and staff
Be aware of camper dietary/medical needs
Supervise campers
Assist in planning weekly recreational and evening activities
Assist in planning the final concert
Lead groups from one activity to the next in an orderly manner
Camp staff members are required to participate fully in the camp activities. This may include swimming, biking, soccer, hiking, kayaking, dressing-up, etc.

Excellent people skills and a friendly, responsible, service-oriented attitude

Ukrainian language: Must be able to read, write & speak Ukrainian

Other Qualifications:
Candidates must be certified in First Aid/Level C CPR Certifications prior to the start of camp
Criminal Records Check
Candidates should be prepared for physical
activity (dance, sports activities, etc.) and lots of walking.
This is a very active job.
Experience with children in a camp or educational setting is an asset
Experience in dance & music is preferred
