Description

The Meadow Lake Tribal Council is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the full-time permanent position of Senior Administrator for the Mistahey Musqua Treatment Centre (MMTC).  The Senior Administrator is responsible and accountable to the HSD Community Development Director for the organization, management, supervision, and services delivery of the MMTC Treatment Program. This position has the mandate to run MMTC within the policies, plans, and overall direction established by the MLTC-Health & Social Development department.  

MMTC Philosophy: The philosophy of the Mistahey Musqua Treatment Centre is to promote a healthy addiction free lifestyle and to enhance the well-being of our First Nation communities through providing holistic (physical, emotional, mental & spiritual) counseling services in the area of prevention, treatment and aftercare.  

Qualifications:

- Must be addiction free, sober, and intent on living a holistic healthy balanced lifestyle.
- A Chemical Dependency Certification course and/or equivalent certified course may be considered.
- Five (5) years of experience and demonstrated knowledge in Mental Health and Addictions Counseling; Treatment Centre Program management/administration that includes the supervision of employees.
- Knowledge and understanding of the links between alcohol/addictions treatment and health issues at the First Nation community level.
- Knowledge of First Nations history, culture, traditions, values; First Nation organizations/communities structure, procedures, and protocols, etc.
- Will possess excellent supervisory, interpersonal, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Will be knowledgeable with administrative procedures and possess basic accounting skills.
- Ability to speak/understand Cree/Dene is considered a valuable asset.
- Must have CPR & First Aid Training; must possess a valid driver?s license.
