Description

The USSU Childcare Centre, which provide care for children aged 6 months to 6 years of age, has been in operation on the University of Saskatchewan campus since 1992 and has recently expanded its operations from 66 to 156 childcare spaces.
The successful applicant will be responsible for the financial activities of both USSU Childcare Centres: The Williams Building and McEown Park Locations, and will be directly accountable to the Executive Director.  The Financial Manager is responsible for financial activities, including payroll, vacation tracking, budget and financial statements.  This position is full time equivalent.  
Key Responsibilities: primarily responsible for accounting of two Centres including payroll, vacation and EDO planning, budget development and maintenance as well as annual audit reports.
Assist with orientate new staff with respect to payroll and benefits to the Centre.
Primary liaison with University payroll and human resources
Liaison with benefits provider and regular review of rate schedules
Accounting, data collection, and payroll in compliance with the Collective Agreement
Knowledge & Skills: Strong accounting skills and proficient with Quikbooks and MS Office.
Familiarity with the structure and operations of non-profit organizations and / or the U of S an asset
Training & Qualifications: Diploma or significant experience in accounting, business or other financial activity
Stoning organization skills
Valid first aid/ CPR and a recent criminal record check
Experience: ability to meet a variety of strict deadlines
