Description

POS Group of Companies provides full-cycle process development services, from lab to commercial-scale. We focus on the extraction, fractionation, purification and modification of bio-based material. We offer our international client base manufacturing solutions for specialty markets, managing every aspect from process development, product processing, engineering and quality assurance.

The Position
We require an experienced Process Engineer that is a creative solution provider and thrives in a fast paced, demanding environment for flawless execution.  Your position will be a critical link between Operations/Manufacturing and the Product Development teams as well as our clients. In our environment, smart work and collaboration are expected; we have no room for egos or status.

You will be responsible for maximizing use and profitability of our Canadian facilities by enhancing facility capability, process cost, GMP implementation, and equipment utilization. Our facility includes a R&D Pilot Plant, which requires on-going equipment changes; we are not a production line facility. Experience in the food industry is essential as this is a hands-on position. You will be involved in the day to day management of projects and processes, and spend a significant amount of time on the floor, trouble-shooting equipment issues and working directly with the Operations team. You will also be involved in project development with regards to project costing and equipment utilization.

The Candidate
Degree in Process or Chemical Engineering with food industry experience. P.Eng. designation or willingness to obtain.
Proven record of working safely
Prior experience with Lean manufacturing
Excellent trouble shooting abilities; prior experience in preventative maintenance an asset.
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and related QC principles.
Experience with Visio, SuperPRO and MS Project are assets.
