Description

The successful candidate will:
Lead the on-going development of the projects Communications Plan, targeting diverse populations;
Responsible for development and implementation of the communication plan, research, writing, design and production;
Conceptualize, write & develop communication materials;
Collaborate with freelance writers, graphic designers and photographers to produce communications products;
Disseminate the results of the projects evaluation;
Lead ongoing communications/dissemination of impact stories in Saskatchewan and New Brunswick as well as edit and contribute to annual reports to HSDS funders;
Manage content development and updates of the project websites (English and French);
Plan and produce coordinated communications for HSDS promotion events;
Facilitate communications between the various the partners and working groups
All other related duties
QUALIFICATIONS
3 to 5 years of related experience in communications and in developing, implementing & evaluating effective communication strategies using a variety of mediums and channels. Bachelors degree in Communications, experience in in knowledge translation/transfer; Education, or Business/Commerce (marketing). Past experience in project coordination and an understanding of cultural and diverse communities.
Must be perfectly bilingual (French & English);
Highly motivated, self-managing, organized and detail-oriented;
Strong community ethic with the ability to work independently and within a team setting;
Demonstrated experience in the dissemination and knowledge transfer of research evaluation;
Exceptional written communication skills in French & in English;
Creative & flexible as well as having working knowledge of Internet and computer tools an asset. (MS Office, Website management, blogging experience, graphic design).
Preference given to a resourceful candidate with experience in community development.
