The Academic Coach will deliver programming during school hours, after school and in community based tutorial sessions that will encourage home support; flexibility in working hours is required. The Academic Coach is attached to the students fostering a healthy relationship that encourages students to stay and are successful. Ensure success of NEC Students. Approach focuses on four (4) key areas: Life Skills, Academic Excellence, Graduation and Post-secondary. Bachelors degree or equivalent.The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all levels of staff within the Saskatoon Tribal Council (STC), with local and provincial education partnerships and organizations;and with the local community.Understanding of the Saulteaux traditions and language would be an asset.Past experience working in a First Nation School.Current Criminal Record Check (CPIC) and Vulnerable Sector Search must be provided
