TA Foods Ltd. does a variety of processing and packaging involving grains/seeds, edible oils, and blends for the food industry.
The Quality Control Manager at TA Foods is primarily responsible for maintaining a variety of certifications (HACCP/GMP, GFSI SQF Level 2, Pro-Cert Organic certification, Non-GMO Project Certification, Kosher Certification, GFCO Gluten Free Certification).
Daily tasks involve reviewing shift reports and work logs, doing a variety of product quality testing in the lab, filling out reports, and working with staff to meet various health/safety requirements.
The position is mainly desk/phone/computer work, with a minor amount of warehouse time for doing inspections, and a minor (but daily) amount of basic laboratory work (training provided in house).
The position requires solid computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, E-mail). The applicant must be fully fluent in English and able to communicate effectively through emails and while writing reports or operating procedures.
General working hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm (30 min lunch) but this can be quite flexible to suit the worker's own specific requirements.
