We are currently looking for a driven and ambitious individual with structural drafting experience within the mining industry to join our on-site team at the BHPB Jansen Project in Saskatchewan. This is a position created from our vision of growth, sustainability, and zero harm.
The Structural Draftsperson role is to support the project team with the development of as-built information and provide assistance and support with development of plans and details pertaining to the Jansen Project Shafts. The role is to report to the site engineering and technical groups to support the design detailed drawings as required by the project. This position requires a very versatile individual as often they are utilized by other departments for various other designing tasks.
The Structural Draftsperson will demonstrate DMC's core values of: Zero Harm, Win-Win Client Relationships, People Development and Innovation.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage and prioritize their own workload to meet deliverable schedule.
2. Liaise with variety of professional personnel to develop drawings.
3. Prepares detailed information and applies it to templates and as-built requirements.
4. Prepares information and drawings as required to templates and standards established by the project.
5. Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Civil/Structural drafting certification or equivalent for an industrial or mining industry.
- A minimum of 5 years of previous experience in a similar role.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Must have extensive experience with AutoCAD and other software that would interface with AutoCAD.
