Meridian Manufacturing Inc. (MMI) in Regina, SK consists of over 150 dedicated employees who design and manufacture top of the line grain augers, bins, conveyors and movers which are sold coast to coast and around the world. For over fifty years MMI has manufactured quality equipment and continues to strive for customer excellence and satisfaction.

Job Summary:  
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Buyer/Purchaser is responsible for purchasing of Parts in accordance with the production schedule

Responsibilities Include:  
Managing Inventory flows for a large variety of product lines
Managing Inventory levels
Monitoring pricing and working in multiple currencies. Converting between imperial and metric measurements regularly.
Ensuring Inventory is arriving at the required times to meet production needs
Negotiating purchasing pricing and terms with suppliers
Working with sales and production to generate forecasts of inventory requirements based on sales forecasts
Procuring operation items to ensure that company expenses are being efficiently managed.
Expedite Purchase orders as required for change in Production schedule

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Business degree or equivalent post secondary is an asset
Enrollment in Supply Chain Management Professional Designation or Diploma is an Asset
Purchasing and procurement experience is an Asset
Computer Proficiency (office Suite) is required. Experience with ERP software is an Asset.
Strong Interpersonal skills
Ability to act as a representative of the organization management team and owners
Time management skills, ability to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervisor
Ability to problem solve, think ahead and consider new and innovative solutions as the organization grows is a must
Ability to work Independently and as a Team.
