We are recruiting for a full time CNC Machine Operator for a full service Steel and Metal Manufacturing shop here in Saskatoon. They run a full lineup of CNC Machining equipment and are extremely passionate about what they do. They value employees who have great attitudes and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
Perform well defined setups and non-complex operations using engine lathes, milling machines, punch press, forming press, shear, press brake, expanders, precision laser-cutter, and/or other machinery or productions hardware
Interpret and follow basic written instructions, sketches, drawing, and documents
Calculate bend allowances for various material types and thicknesses
Write set-up sheets and understand programming functions
Required skills & experience:
Qualified candidates will have a High School Diploma/GED, plus a minimum of 2 - 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Have knowledge of CNC Programming
Understand proper setup and use of tooling associated with CNC Machines
Requires familiarity with machine tools, precision instruments and good manual dexterity
Must be versatile and willing to learn and have an outstanding work ethic
Mechanically minded, exceptional attention to detail, and able to troubleshoot effectively
Physical requirements
The Machine Operator performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, such as climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, balancing, and handling of material
This position is not located near a bus route so the candidate must have reliable alternate transportation.
