Description

STOPS to Violence is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team and help support public education efforts teaching kids about personal safety and violence prevention. The Public Education Facilitator would serve as a facilitator and puppeteer for the Kids Matter puppet education program. This position would be ideal for someone with an interest in public education, social work, or human services looking to explore using puppet performance and expressive arts to teach children about personal safety. Training in puppetry is provided  previous puppetry or theater experience is an asset.  Presentations will take place in various communities across Saskatchewan, so you must be able to travel for short periods of time.  Please note this is a casual contract position.

Skills and Experience:
    Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in diverse communities.
    Experience with public education and performance based education with children is an asset.
    Well-developed time management and organizational skills.
    Personal and professional values consistent with STOPS to Violence.
    A high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and integrity.
    Adaptable with willingness to be flexible and versatile within a changing work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency.
    Valid drivers licence.
    Demonstrated ability to:
o    Work with children in a group setting.
o    Work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
o    Work independently, manage time and meet deadlines.
