Saskatoon Housing Authority is seeking an individual to join our team in a 1/2 time position of OFF SITE BUILDING MANAGER. You will be responsible for a high standard of repair, cleanliness and maintenance of the property under your care. You will be Saskatoon Housing Authority's front line representative and will deal directly and respectfully with out tenants.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Keep the building, grounds, sidewalks and parking lots clean & safe (includes snow removal)
- Show units
- Assist in vacancy preparation by monitoring contractors
- Perform annual maintenance inspections on all units
- Perform move-in/move-out inspections
- Provide orientation for new tenants
- Perform minor repairs, as required
- Maintain effective, positive public relations with tenants, contractors, SHA staff and general public
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
- Fireman's Certificate is considered an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively; written and verbal
- Knowledge of building trades: carpentry, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, etc.
- Integrity and strong work ethics
* The successful candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal background check and pass a minimal work related fitness test. This position is paid an annual salary and enjoys an excellent benefits package, including an employers matching pension plan.
