Regina Youth For Christ is a mission organization dedicated to helping children and their communities, worldwide, reach their full potential by tackling causes of isolation and hopelessness. Motivated by our faith, we serve the youth in Saskatchewan - regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity, or gender - as a demonstration of God's unconditional love for all people.
The right candidate will be available during school days from 9:00 am o 3:00 pm (school days only) and will be experienced and/or educated in working with youth or young adults in a structured Housing environment. As a missions organization, Regina Youth For Christ requires all staff to be in agreement with their Statement of Faith and to continually fundraise to support the Ministry vision.
Overview:
Assessing and Planning
- Ability to support a youth's case plan
- Ability to work collaboratively on a team
- Ability to create a consistent evening and morning routine
- Ability to communicate professionally to support agencies
Relationship building and Support
- Ability to motivate and empower youth towards success
- Ability to support youth in problem solving and behavior choices
- Assist youth to create and meet goals
- Ability to set and maintain healthy, professional boundaries
Overseeing and Guiding
-Ability to track and measure a youth's success
-Ability to hold a youth accountable for their choices
-Ability to set and maintain healthy, professional boundaries
*Requirements
-Must have been registered as a full-time student in 2016/2017 and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in 2017/2018
-Must hold a valid drivers license, able to transport 10 + passengers.
-Must be available for Shift-Work including Weekends.
-Walk up 2 flights of stairs several times per day
-Ability to stand, sit, crouch or kneel
-Ability to perform CPR and other basic first aid functions
-Ability to participate in low impact activities with youth
