Description

Accountability:
With direction and support from the Camp Coordinator for Saskatchewan, the Summer Camp Intern will assist with staff recruitment and training, and with camp delivery, support, and reporting for our summer camp literacy programming.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Camp Coordinator to deliver summer camp programming
Assist the Camp Coordinator in delivering two training sessions from June 26-29 in North Battleford and July 4-6 in Prince Albert
Co-facilitate the screening and training of summer camp staff
Help organize meetings, training, field trips, special guests, etc. for the camps
Prepare and deliver training materials, activity binders and resources for summer camp staff
Facilitate office communication
Work with the Camp Coordinator in gathering reports and statistics
Maintain regular and timely communication with Camp Coordinator

Skills and Attributes:

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, lively and changing environment
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Excellent time management skills; able to balance work and personal commitments
Ability to provide leadership, and to work collaboratively with others
Adept at Microsoft, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Understanding that hours will vary depending on the needs of the program
Respectful of diversity
Commitment to literacy work and the Frontier College mission statement
Full driving license and access to a car essential
