Job Posting Term Position Architectural Technologist
VOCE Developments provides construction and design services for small businesses located across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
VOCE Developments is looking to hire an energetic Architectural Technologist for a full time position. The successful candidate must have experience in interior design, design systems & processes as it relates to construction and AutoCad specifically in drawing key design details.
Job Description:
This is a key role within VOCE Developments, and within this role you will be responsible for developing floor plans, doing permit drawings and handle material selections that will push projects through the design stage and up to the point of construction. Some examples of tasks include but are not limited to:
o Exceptional design and creativity
o Understand the Building Code
o Great communication & interpersonal skills
o Highly organized
o Create & Implement design processes
o Make selections that align with customers needs, wants & budgets
o Work diligently to have all selections finalized prior to the start of construction
o Work hand-in-hand with the team on providing floor plans and design details to complete IFP (Issued For Permit) and IFC (Issued For Construction) drawings.
o Must understand the relationships between cost of materials, lead times to source materials and time lines to install unique materials.
o Interior design diploma / degree or Architectural technology Diploma
o File and other support functions as necessary
