Overview: Use your skills in marketing, advertising, and communications to help improve the welfare of animals.
Established in 1928, the Saskatchewan SPCA is the provincial animal welfare organization working to promote the welfare of animals and prevent animal cruelty. Read more at http://sspca.ca/about-us/
Responsibilities:
- Develop promotional strategies for a variety of animal welfare initiatives and programs
- Assist in the development of educational material (print and video)
- Assist in the planning and promotion of a provincial conference
- Explore potential grant and sponsorship opportunities
- Research ideas for social enterprise initiatives
- Conduct preliminary market research surveys
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements: In keeping with the terms of the Canada Summer Jobs program, you must be between 18 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment; have been registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year; and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year.
Other requirements for this position include:
- Have an interest in improving the welfare of animals
- Demonstrate strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Be able to work independently or as part of a team
- Provide a criminal background check and clear driver's abstract
