Position Overview
Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Operator is responsible for the day to day facility operations
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Oil treating, treater and aerial cooler operation
- Waste processing, centrifuge, floc mixing, hopper and shaker operations
- Injecting water, maintaining injection filters and associated pumps
- Truck unloading, accepted products, product separation and crude blending
- Tank Operations, skimming and transfers
- Equipment maintenance
- Computer data entry
- Active in turnarounds at the plant
- Heavy Equipment operations, loader and skid steer
The successful candidate will have:
- Grade 12 or GED
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Experience in oilfield waste management, heavy equipment and valid industry safety tickets absolute assets
- 1 year equipment operation
- Adheres to all safety and performance standards
- Strong computer skills detail oriented
- Solid communication and customer service skills
- Responsible, reliable team member with ability to take direction, and work with minimal supervision
- Availability and desire to work shift work is required

- Complete and maintain plant logs and reports
Specific Skills
- Read recording instruments to measure output and consumption levels, bacterial content, chlorine and fluoride levels
- Perform maintenance and repairs to plant machinery or equipment
- Patrol plant to check pumps, motors, filters, chlorinators and other plant equipment
- Operate and monitor computerized control systems and related equipment to regulate the treatment and distribution of water
- Monitor and inspect plant equipment and systems to detect equipment malfunctioning and to ensure plant systems are operating normally
- Monitor and read recording instruments to detect equipment malfunctions and ensure plant systems and equipment are operating within prescribed limits
- Make adjustments to plant equipment and systems
- Complete and maintain plant logs and reports
- Collect waste and sewage samples, test and analyze results
- Analyze test results and instrument readings
