POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Client Services, this position works as part of an interdisciplinary primary health care team to provide health care services to women through the life span within the Women?s Health Centre at the All Nations? Healing Hospital in Fort Qu?Appelle. This position will also provide outreach services to the communities of the File Hills Qu?Appelle Tribal Council. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for clients in the community both independently and collaboratively with physicians and midwives, depending upon the complexity of client needs.
Qualifications:
-Graduate from an approved School of Nursing
-Masters degree in Nursing is preferred
-Certification in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or equivalent program
-Demonstrated leadership skills
-Experience in program development an asset
-Strong knowledge & understanding of primary health care & chronic disease prevention & management, preferably in a community setting
-Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in an interprofessional setting, including strong team work & communication skills
Experience:
-Nurse Practitioner experience working in the area of chronic disease
-Minimum of (3) years experience as a Registered Nurse in primary care, public health or acute care
-Previous experience working within a community setting with Indigenous clients
Hours of Work: 08:30-16:30 (weekdays, some flexible hrs required)
