Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Services, this position works out of the Strategy, Marketing and Communications (SMC) unit and is responsible for communications leadership and services within the Corporation. This position provides strategic communications, marketing advice and direction, public and media relations, writing, research, editing, and project and event co-ordination services to the Corporation and is concerned with the proper implementation and use of all communication tools used by the Corporation.

WHAT YOULL DO:
Research, coordinate, and provide communications advice and guidance to executive management and business units on branding, communications and marketing strategies, corporate advertising campaigns, media relations, writing, print/video/radio production, and internal communications strategies.
Research, prepare, write, and coordinate corporate news releases, annual reports, brochures, articles for Ministry of Agriculture publications, speeches, calendar, internal newsletters, and customer bulletins; and implement communications strategies that align with business goals.
Develop and implement internal communications strategies to align with internal leadership strategic priorities.
Understand social media platform and develop external and internal communications strategies.
Create and maintain e-services, including websites and electronic mailings and texts.
Respond to media inquiries, research and provide background and media training to other staff.
