Based out of Estevan, Kelly Panteluk Construction Ltd. (KPCL) is hiring Safety Advisors for our upcoming season. We have secured work based out of Coronach, Estevan, Lanigan, and the Warman/ Martensville areas. The successful applicant(s) must be able and willing to work at each of the various sites. This position will require overtime hours, and preference given to candidates with CSO or NCSO training completed and experience in the civil construction industry.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
-Implementing company HSE policies and procedures, and where required assisting in the preparation of new HSE policies and procedures
-Ensuring all site staff receive appropriate HSE orientation, drug testing and training
-Ensuring project sites and equipment satisfy Occupational HSE standards concerning compliance, audits and protocols
-Investigating safety incidents when required
-Assisting with Workers Compensation Board (WCB) reporting and follow up administration
-Conducting daily toolbox meetings and regular jobsite/premises inspections
-Undertaking risk assessment/safety analysis and following up with mitigation measures
-Reviewing and inspecting heavy earthmoving operations and works under construction to ensure safe and healthy working conditions are
maintained
-Ability to communicate effectively and liaising between site operators/supervisors/clerks and head office in all HSE matters and
-Encouraging and promoting a positive safety culture by tracking and rewarding good safety performance.
KPCL provides camp accommodations with meals when required to work away from home. Passing a drug and alcohol test is required upon employment.
