POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a chief engineer, maintenance, you will provide oversight to the maintenance engineering group, supervising a diverse team of engineers and technologists. You will play a lead role in the execution of Camecos operational reliability programs. You will be a subject matter expert on maximizing equipment availability, reliability and performance through effective preventive maintenance practices.
You will be responsible for making recommendations for the capital budget and the non-routine maintenance budget. You will be accountable for ensuring the sites critical engineering programs are executed: tank inspection, ventilation, structural integrity, pipeline integrity, pressure vessels, electrical infrastructure, etc.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
A minimum of 10 years of progressive reliability engineering experience
Supervisory experience in heavy industry
Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered
You must be eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS)
Strong communication and problem solving skills
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
Experience in development & execution of reliability programs
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or better)
Experience conducting failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) and root cause failure analysis (RCFA)
