The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. EGADZ has an exciting opportunity for an ECE Level III - Lead Home Operator for an 18 space Early Learning Centre.
EGADZ is an inter-agency, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services for hard to serve youth in Saskatoon with the mission to encourage and support them to make choices that improve their quality of life.
The Lead Home Operator for the Sweet Dreams Early Learning Centre reports to the Coordinator for Child Care and Outreach Services and is responsible for managing and ensuring that the programs are following the Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centres Mission by providing quality care to the children receiving services and able to provide support and interact with the parents.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures that the program philosophys are maintained and followed
Maintain accurate record keeping (ex. Childrens files, billings and fee collections, receipts, attendance) as required by the Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc./EGADZ.
Ensure that all Child Care Regulations are implemented and followed as stated in the current Child Care Act
Prepares reports and records regarding children's plans, progress, annual program evaluation or other special reports for management
Interacts and maintains liaison with parents, staff and outside community agencies in facilitating program objectives
Qualifications
ECE Level III or greater
Knowledge in the implementation of Play and Exploration through a holistic and language rich learning environment
First Aid/CPR Level C, Criminal Records Check, vulnerable search section and Valid Driver
A sound theoretical and practical understanding of normal child development in an Early Learning setting
Knowledge of community resources and understanding of Cultural Diversity
Salaries: $18.40 - $22.50 per hour based on education and level of experience. Pension and Health Benefits Program.
