Description

March Consulting Associates Inc. is a multi-discipline engineering, project and construction management provider based in downtown Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. March Consulting specializes in the mining sector, most notably potash and uranium mining and refining. Employee-owned, March Consulting is continually growing and employs approximately 60 Saskatchewan-based personnel.

Main duties to include some or all of the following:
    Supervise and inspect the installation, modification and commissioning of mechanical systems at mines,  construction sites or in industrial facilities
    Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements
    Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, mechanical components and systems
    Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems
    Design of material handling systems and preparation of specifications including conveyors, silos, chutes, and bucket elevators, etc.
    Analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures.
    Stress and deformation analysis of machines and structures using finite elements.
    Perform as an integral member of the Asset Integrity group at March - Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
    Maintain efficient inter-disciplinary and client communication

Employment requirements:
    A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related engineering discipline is required
    Licensing by APEGS or another Canadian province is required
    A master's degree or doctorate in a related engineering discipline would be an asset
    Experience in industrial work with brown & green field is considered an asset
    Experience in the mining industry is considered an asset
    Experience in the of piping, and heating and ventilation systems is considered an asset
