Description

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:

-    Captures and impounds stray animals
-    Pick up sick or injured animals
-    Feed and water captured animals
-    Investigate animal bites
-    Destroy animals where necessary
-    Work with Northern Animal Rescue (NAR) to address loose, sick or injured animals
-    Work independently in a high-stress environment with minimal supervision
-    Provide written and verbal reports with attention to factual details
-    Other duties of a similar nature as may be assigned from time to time

The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:

-    Must have valid Class 5 Driver's License and own a reliable vehicle
-    Must have valid PAL (Possession and Acquisition License)
-    Ability to deal in a confident and humane manner
-    Ability to work independently, deal with confrontation and handle stressful situations
-    First Aid/CPR is preferred
-    Must be able to pass RCMP Security Clearance
-    Able to communicate in the Cree language is an asset
-    Demonstrates consistency and integrity at all times
-    Displays a positive attitude, maintains enthusiasm
-    Punctual, honest and reliable.
    
Position:            Permanent full time position starting as soon as possible.

Salary:                In accordance with applicable salary grid.
