Description

The MLTC Department of Education is seeking an energetic and motivated individual to fill the full-time position of Student Learning Assessment & Reporting Coordinator.  

The successful candidate will oversee the implementation and support of assessment initiatives.  This will encompass supervising and supporting coordinators in their efforts to support teachers in classroom methodology and curriculum development that supports strength based assessment and summative reporting.  This will result in teachers developing needed teaching competencies.  These competencies will include but are not limited to: communication skills, problem solving skills as well as diagnostic techniques.  The role of the Student Learning Assessment & Reporting Coordinator, through effective instructional supervision will result in a better learning environment, and help teachers develop a commitment to improvement.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor?s Degree in Education and/or a Master?s Degree or willingness to pursue graduate studies.  
- Saskatchewan Professional `A? Teachers Certification or the ability to obtain such standing.
- Minimum five (5) years of teaching experience.
- Extensive experience with data analysis and report writing.
- Experience working with First Nation Schools & Communities.
- Excellent communication skills (Verbal/Written); decision making skills; professional judgment skills, interpersonal skills, time-management skills, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in computer software applications (i.e. Microsoft-Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, etc.).
- Willing to travel to the First Nation Communities; work independently and within a team setting.
