FFUN Group has an opening for a Dealership Controller at our South 20 Dodge Chrysler, RV Centre. Reporting to the Group Controller, the Dealership Controller will provide accounting support to the dealership as it relates to financial controls, financial statements and reports.
Primary Duties:
Monthly financial statement preparation and adherence to manufacturer reporting requirements.
Report and discuss financial results with the Group Controller and General Managers during monthly financial reviews.
Ensure overall maintenance of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, payroll and general ledger are timely and accurate including reconciliation and analysis of accounts.
Monitor inventory transactions and responsible for maintenance and reconciliation of inventory balances on floor plan.
Provide guidance and oversight to the accounting staff to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies, procedures and controls.
Identify areas of concern and areas for improvement and provide solution oriented plans of action for addressing them.
Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and maintain annual budgets and forecasts.
Qualifications:
Five or more years of previous dealership experience preferred.
Solid understanding of accounting practices and financial management within a car dealership environment.
2 to 5 years of senior level accounting experience.
High level of accuracy and analytical ability.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software programs.
Motivated to succeed, dependable, and resourceful.
Accounting Designation would be considered an asset.
